The number in the "total Rank" column is the "Value Factors" score calculated using a very accurate approximation of the methodology devised by James P. O'Shaughnessy. O'Shaughnessy recommends picking the top 50 from this list, but because of duplicates on different exchanges and distortions where stocks are thinly traded, I include all the stocks in the top 10%. Please remember, these are suggestions only. I have had good success choosing my personal portfolio from these lists, but I do additional research to verify that there is an active market for the shares I buy, and I try to find out something about the company and its products.
